Destination: Saihoji Moss Temple, Kyoto, Japan

During my time in Kyoto, I was lucky enough to be able to tour the Saihoji moss garden. This is a Unesco World Heritage Site that dates back hundreds of years. Filled with other 120 varieties of moss, you can see the green on display here. While visiting, we experienced a light rain which made the moss gardens even more lush and green. To visit the gardens, it typically takes reservations months in advance (and they are difficult to obtain.)
